Pharmacist answer
Does Keytruda need a fridge when I travel or when it ships?
Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) is a refrigerated biologic. Vials are stored at 2–8°C and must not freeze. For international shipping we use qualified cold packaging and a temperature logger. For passenger travel, your oncology clinic should tell you whether you are even allowed to carry vials — most Keytruda is infused in clinic, not packed in a suitcase. If a shipment feels warm on arrival, photograph the logger and contact us before the vial is used.
- Clinic infusion is the norm; do not improvise home storage.
- Keep 2–8°C; freezing ruins the product.
- Warm box: stop, photo the logger, message the pharmacist.
